Tributes have been paid for a young couple who were found dead.
Police say they are treating the ‘sudden’ deaths of Sam Roberts, 22, and Lauren Hetherington, 23, as ‘unexplained’ but not suspicious.
It comes after police swarmed in North Ayrshire, Scotland, following the tragic discovery, which has left loved ones shocked by the devastating news.
Catherine Oneill said: “Thinking of my cousins and family and friends. Thinking of Sam his family and friends.”
Kirsty Mckenna said, according to the Daily Record: “What a sad morning woke up to some extremely upsetting news RIP Sam Roberts and his girlfriend as well.
“Love to all the family’s thoughts and prayers are with the Roberts family and the girlfriends.”
Yvonne Grayhurst said: “RIP Lauren, can’t believe the news today, gone far too soon.”
Investigations are continuing into the incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We can confirm that around 3pm on Monday, 22 November, officers were called to a property on Millglen Road, Ardrossan, following the sudden deaths of a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman.
“The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
